Offshore Wind

As a deep-water port in the north east of Germany, MUKRAN PORT offers ideal nautical and sea geographic conditions for serving the offshore wind industry as a base port. Short distances to the offshore wind farms and easy port approach ensure distinct cost advantages for installation and service logistics. With a water depth of up to 10.5m, the port can be entered by all common offshore water vessels.

The newly built Offshore Terminal South has already proved its efficiency during the construction of the offshore wind farms „EnBW Baltic 2“ and "Wikinger". The “Arkona Becken” offshore wind farm is currently being completed by the energy supplier E.ON.

With the construction of a completely new port area for the operation of offshore wind farms and related maintenance services, MUKRAN PORT is currently being transformed from a typical installation port to a location where a wide range of services can be sited for a period of more than 25 years!
