Fascination Offshore Wind excites 1000 visitors

Sassnitz-Mukran, August 21, 2019 - A total of 1000 visitors came to Mukran Port on 16 and 17 August to find out more about offshore wind energy. Numerous companies from the industry presented their projects vividly at the "Fascination of Offshore Wind" with models, films and pictures and were available to answer visitors' questions. On Saturday (17 August), guided tours of the Iberdrola and E.ON buildings as well as harbour tours were also offered. A special highlight this year was the offshore rescue helicopter and the altitude rescue of the Sassnitz fire brigade, who answered the questions of the interested guests at the event. 

With the "Fascination Offshore Wind" Mukran Port offers a platform for the exchange between locals, tourists and companies that are important for the region. The public exhibition is an important opportunity for the offshore industry to present itself to the public, to inform them about its own work and thus to increase public acceptance of offshore wind energy," said Robert Krüger, offshore project developer at Mukran Port, summing up the successful weekend.
