On 6 January 2025, Parliamentary State Secretary Ines Jesse from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, who is also Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Fährhafen Sassnitz GmbH, attended the staff meeting at Mukran Port. At this event, she warmly welcomed the new Managing Director Henry Forster.
In her speech, Ines Jesse also paid tribute to Fridjof Ostenberg, who has managed the port's business with great commitment and vision as interim managing director in recent months. She emphasised how he ensured stability during a transitional period and set an important course for the port's future.
She also thanked Sabine Hamann, who played a key role in the port's financial management as CFO and authorised signatory for many years. With her expertise and tireless commitment, she played a decisive role in shaping the economic development of Mukran Port. At the end of her professional career, she was bid a fond farewell to her well-deserved retirement.
The achievements of long-standing Managing Director Harm Sievers, who has been retired since October 2024, were also highlighted. Ines Jesse emphasised his decisive contribution to the development and conversion of the port, especially during the challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic.
