Sassnitz-Mukran, 24. September 2022 — As part of the TransLogistica trade fair in Almaty (Kazakhstan), a delegation from Mukran Port visited localterminals and discussed potential cooperation and transportroutes.

The Mukran Port booth in the Atakentexhibition centre is a highlyfrequentedcontactpoint for the variousplayers.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 09. September 2022 — The Rail Freight Summit took place in Warsaw this week. Mukran Port was also represented at the expert meeting on the New Silk Road. Furthermore, a new intermodal terminal was opened as part of this project.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 08. September 2022 — The event, which will take place in Luebeck on September 7th and 8th, hast he motto „ShortSeaShipping Days – logistics on the move on sustainable paths“. Central challenges such as Brexit, the corona pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war are topics of this event. The positive contribution that short sea shipping, inland waterways and rail can already make to successfully coping with these effects and that the expansion of climate-neutral logistics can continue to contribute in the future will be presented and discussed during the day at the specialist conference.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 01. September 2022 — The kick-off event to welcome the Austrian delegation of representatives from industry and the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences to the district of Vorpommern-Rügen took place yesterday at Mukran Port. With first impressions from various project presentations and a guided tour of the port, initial discussions were held between industry, science and politics. These will be further deepened until 2nd September and thus also promise starting points for future joint projects.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 29. August 2022 — Mukran Port visits Ystad Port for the official inauguration of the new ferry terminal with berths 7 and 8. After the welcome by Mayor Paula Nilsson and Port Ystad Managing Director Björn Boström, the Mukran Port plaque was presented. The capacity of the port has been expanded with the two new berths and are suitable for ships up to 250 meters. The newly gained terminal area is around 140,000 square meters.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 22. August 2022 — Thanks to the energetic support from Mukran Port and together with many other players, the "Sail Sassnitz" took place in Sassnitz town harbour from 19 - 21 August.
Enthusiastic sailing friends could enjoy the fresh Baltic air on the traditional tall ships and even actively support the hard-working crew members in their work on board.
On Saturday, the 11th Rügen Safety Day was presented for young and old, which was very well received by all visitors. In the evening, the band "STØRTEBEKER" heated up the audience. The mild summer night ended with a breathtaking firework in the Baltic Sea sky.
On the last day of this maritime weekend and in the best weather, the "Harbour Day for Everyone" started. An entertaining programme was presented on the stage. We say THANK YOU and look forward to next year!

Sassnitz-Mukran, 16. August 2022 — Since the launch of the new ferry connection between Mukran and Ystad with the high-speed catamaran SKANE JET in September 2020, 500 departures from the ferry port of Mukran have already been successfully completed.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 15. Jule 2022 — Representatives from the Port of Klaipeda are guests at Mukran Port to exchange ideas with experts on the topic of offshore wind energy. In addition to a joint workshop and networking event, there was also a visit to the town hall of Sassnitz. The two cities are partner cities for many years allready.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 05. Jule 2022 — FRS started the night departures to Ystad (Sweden). Now passengers are able to use the fastest travel connection between Germany and Sweden vice versa quickly and easily at night, additional to the exsisting daily the departures.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 22. June 2022 — As part of a port screening, representatives of Mukran Port visit several ports in the Baltic States as well as the Latvian railway to examine the possibilities for cooperation.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 17. June 2022 — In order to continuously meet the requirements of our partners, maintenance work is essential at regular intervals. At the moment, roof work is being carried out on Hall 01 as well as repairs to some of the port's own railtrack-switches.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 15. June 2022 — In Brussels, international logistics experts meet together with representatives of the EU Parliament and Kazakh politicians to exchange ideas and optimise the Kazakh transit transport corridor to and from the EU. Mukran Port is also represented at this expert meeting.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 10. June 2022 — This year's „Berner Tage“ of the CIT, which will be attended by a Mukran Port representative, will also mark the 120th anniversary of the association in Bern (Switzerland). At the Bern Days of the CIT, international experts meet with the aim of laying the foundations for standardising and simplifying cross-border transport between the individual countries.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 9. June 2022 — Today, a sawn timber tow arrived at Mukran Port. Unloading by Mukran Port Terminals started immediately after all official approvals had been obtained. The approx. 11,000 m³ will first be stored temporarily at the port area before transport is going on after customer call-off.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 8. June 2022 — The first two cruise vessels this year called Mukran Port. Yesterday, Tuesday, this year's season started with "AIDADiva" and today the "STAR LEGEND" is moored in Mukran Port. With perfect weather, passengers can explore the charms of the beautiful island of Rügen.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 4. June 2022 — Early on Saturday morning, a train with gravel was shunted to the unloading point by Baltic Port Rail directly after arrival at Mukran station. Mukran Port Terminals then unloaded the wagons without delay according to the customer's wishes.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 21. May 2022 — On 21 May 2022, for the first time this season, there were two daily ferry departures from and to Rönne / Bornholm (Denmark) at Mukran Port, in addition to the departures to Ystad in Sweden.

The shuttle train service, which connects local and long-distance trains with the ferry departures to and from Sweden and Denmark, began operating on time for the double departure. Already on the first day of operation, numerous ferry passengers took advantage of the new offer of environmentally friendly travel by train.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 20. May 2022 — To increase performance and create even more flexibility, two mobile harbour cranes from Mukran Port Terminals were moved within the port area. One mobile crane was moved from the south to the north harbour and a technically different crane from the north to the south port area.
